TVSL Junior Information
The Juniors will play
across the ice.
The tournament is being run on a not-for-profit
basis out of the Bracknell ice rink by some of the mature rink-rats.
Players must be born in 1998
or after.
Those born in 1998 may elect to
play Junior or Youth or both.
Team Names

Cost
- £40 per player to
include 3 * 1:45 sessions and a shirt
- or
- £44.50 per player to include the
3 sessions, a shirt and matching socks.
The Juniors will play
across the ice.

The
Junior
Structure
- Will consist of up
to 6 teams.
- They will play
across the ice.
- 3 simultaneous games will be
played
- All games will be played at Bracknell
- One and
three-quarter hour
sessions at about 15:00 on Sat or Sun.
- Each team will
have 9 players maximum - 1 goalie and 8 players in a perfect world.
- Where a goalie is not
available, a goalie stick will be provided and players will rotate in that
position.
Day 1 format - TBC
- A team that wins a game moves
up the ice, the losers move down.
- The team that is at the top of
the rink at the end wins.
- Upon a draw the team that were
recently moved up is declared the winner of the game.
Day 2 format - TBC
- Each team will play each other
team.
- A league structure will
decide the winners.
Day 3 format - TBC
Support and care
- The tournament is open to both
boys and girls.
- There will be a separate changing room allocated to the girls.
- All teams will be picked by the league organisers, but you may indicate a preference of who you want to be with on your application form.
- The event is for fun.
- The goal of the tournament is to provide fun in a recreational ice hockey environment.
Equipment
- Named and numbered
shirt is included in the price
- Socks will not be
provided unless requested
- Full hockey equipment is required for all players.
- All players must wear a face cage and neck guard.
Playing rules
- No body checking
- No hitting
- No boarding
- No fighting/roughing
- If a player is awarded a
penalty he will "sit" for a minute or so. His/her team will not play
short-handed.
- All players are entitled to equal ice time.
Behaviour
- The league reserves the right to suspend players for serious violations, dangerous or inappropriate conduct on or off the ice.
- All league decisions are final and are not subject to appeal
- All breakages will be paid for by the person who broke it.
Finally, this is
not for profit. The participants in the junior section are paying only a small
amount towards the cost of the ice. Mostly they are paying the uniform costs. Because of this
once the uniform is printed there can be no refund.
