PRE-GAMES INFORMATION
Please check your team allocation and schedule on the TVSL web site.
As ice time is a precious commodity, things do change, so please do a mid-week check to confirm that the games are still on.
On your first day please arrive about one hour before the first face off of the session. (i.e by 11:00 or 16:15), on following dates you can arrive when you want so long as you are ready to ice in time.
Please enter the rink by the main door (Ignore Player Entrance signs) and come right in, rink reception will not be interested in you.
Our "reception" will be on the far side of the rink, we will complete any outstanding paperwork and give you your shirt and socks as appropriate.
TVSL committee should be wearing royal blue polo shirts.
JUNIORS
You will be told what changing rooms
you can use, parents will be helping children in them so if privacy is required
please ask.
You will be told where to meet once dressed - the coaches will then take over.
Games will be played across the ice, the announcer and timekeeper will run the
show.
On the Sunday you can arrive as late as you like, just be ready by 11:50 so the
coaches have 10 minutes to get their teams in order.
YOUTH
Four of the five teams are playing this
Sunday. Members of the fifth team are welcome to come along collect their shirt
and maybe even get a game if we are short (no promises).
You will be told what changing rooms you can use, parents are not welcome in the
change rooms, so players will have to step outside if they need help with
equipment.
If there are players missing Rory will slot other TVSL Youth players in; feel
free to blag a spot, but don't pester him.
Bench staff will be there to help the team and to try to keep ice time shared
evenly.
They are there to encourage and help, they are not there to yell and scream at
the players.
They will be briefed that putting on the stronger players for a longer time in
order to get a win is not acceptable; we will do our best to make sure its equal
ice time for everyone. Please don't expect it to all be exactly equal - its just
not possible.
Any problems after the game then please come and see Rory, a friendly word will
always be received with an offer of assistance.
SENIORS
Most of the Youth information applies,
but no bench coaches allowed.
If you are unable to play on any date please email
info@tvsl.biz we will then get someone in
your slot and will try to get you an extra game when another team is short.
Goalies are really important to the success so all availability dates are most
appreciated.
